“In March 2012, Lonely Planet worked with Tori Thompson as part of the BBC Worldwide Events Team to concept, organise and run a two night street food festival in East London to launch the brand new book The World’s Best Street Food. Tori was instrumental in the success of the event, which had both a media and consumer element with over 600 guests. Attention to detail, top class health and safety expertise, fantastic organisation skills and incredibly well natured makes Tori an impeccable events planner. She handled everything from booking transport, to consumer queries, set up of stalls and liaising with the venue; even Spanish translation for some of the street food vendors! I can’t thank Tori enough for her support during the event, it definitely would not have been a success without her. ”
